The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro units in India are getting a new update ahead of the MIUI 12 rollout. This new update does not bring any major changes or improvements. Although, it does bring the July 2020 security patch for the device.
At the moment, Xiaomi is releasing the MIUI 12 skin for many of its devices. Last month, the update began rolling out to Redmi K20 users in India. However, some K20 users are yet to receive the stable update even though the rollout began a few weeks ago.
The software version for this new update is V11.0.5.0QJZMIXM and is being pushed via an OTA package that has a download size of 212MB. Unfortunately, we haven’t managed to get a hold of the changelog for the update.
A user has taken to Twitter to confirm the arrival of the latest MIUI 11-based update. Here’s a screenshot shared by the use.

This might probably be the last MIUI 11-based OTA update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India. Xiaomi is scheduled to release the much-awaited MIUI 12 skin for the device this month. Therefore, it’s highly likely that the next update will bring the latest skin from the company.
