By Xiaomi began rolling out the MIUI 12 update based on Android 10 for the Redmi K20 in India last month. This new update brings along a bunch of new features and improvements over the current MIUI 12 skin. At the beginning, the update was only available to a limited number of users.
However, towards mid-July, Xiaomi began pushing the update to more users. Cut to now, some Redmi K20 users are still reporting that they haven’t yet received the MIUI 12 update on their devices. It’s been over a few weeks since the stable build went live, thus, users are now concerned.
One user has taken to Twitter to report the missing MIUI 12 update for the device in India. Here’s the tweet:

I am using Redmi K20. As you know that Xiaomi has already release MIUI 12 Update for Redmi K20. But today is 2nd August 2020 and till now i didn’t receive MIUI 12 Update yet. Please help me to get the update.
As you can see, the user tried to check for the update manually but it still shows ‘no updates available’. Actually, this isn’t surprising. Xiaomi often releases updates in phases. Therefore, not all users get the update at the same time, even if the stable build is ready.
So in case you too haven’t received the MIUI 12 update on your Xiaomi Redmi K20 in India, do not fret. It should arrive within the next few days. The company is yet to push the update for several other smartphones from its portfolio, including the Poco F1 and other smartphones from the Redmi Note 9 series.
