Over the past few years, Samsung went from being criticized left and right about its laggy and bloated software as well as slow updates to being one of the quickest OEMs to release software updates (monthly patches and OS upgrades) to its smartphone portfolio.
While other OEMs such as OnePlus and Motorola are struggling to seed the latest Android version — 12 — to their devices, Samsung has already rolled out the update to its entire flagship lineup from the past few years, as well as a few mid-range models.
Not only that, but Samsung has also begun rolling out the One UI 4.1 update to the likes of the Galaxy S21 series, Z Fold 3, and Z Flip 3. That said, development on the next Android version is already in full swing as Google is currently running the Android 13 Developer Preview program at the time of this writing.

Google recently announced that its online I/O event will be held between May 11-12 where we expect to see more details about Android 13 emerge. And with that, we come to the point about which Samsung devices are eligible to get the update to Android 13 or One UI 5.0.
Granted that Samsung announced it will be providing up to 4 OS updates for some models, this is one long list. Check it out below:

Of course, we encourage you to take this information with a grain of salt since this isn’t a fully-fledged list and might be missing a few devices. That said, unless Samsung has a change of heart and decides to abruptly end software support for any of the mentioned devices, they are guaranteed to be eligible for the update to One UI 5.0 based on Android 13.
As usual, Samsung may begin its beta testing program somewhere between the end of August and mid-September, this year. The stable One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 should start hitting the Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup in early December. After which, the Z Fold 4/Flip 4 (upcoming devices) will snag the update as well while the other remaining devices will follow in the next few months.
