By Realme and Xiaomi are two such brands that release new phones every couple of months. At times, there’s barely a gap of a month before the companies launch a new phone at a similar price point of the previous device. For many, this has become a major reason to not purchase a phone from either of the brands.
Naturally, no one would like to buy a new phone only for the brand to launch a new device a month later with slightly improved specifications. Nevertheless, both companies are pushing forward and are set to release new phones soon. Speaking of which, we’ve seen leaks and rumors of an alleged upcoming phone from Realme — the Realme V5.
A well-known leakster and YouTuber — Mukul Sharma aka Stufflistings — took to Twitter to share a screenshot of what appears to be the Geekbench results of the Realme V5. Here’s the screenshot of the results to check for yourself:

The V series will be a new series altogether and as the Geekbench results show, the Realme V5 or model RMX2111 comes with the MediaTek MT6853V/ZA. This chipset from MediaTek is known as the Dimensity 720 and is supposed to bring 5G support to affordable phones. At present, the mid-range offering from Qualcomm — which is the Snapdragon 765 — is only available on mid-range phones such as the OnePlus Nord.
Further, as per the results, the device will also have a 6GB RAM variant, which by 2020 standards, should be a must. Nevertheless, MediaTek’s affordable SoC should help more users get their hands on 5G enabled devices in the near future. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA for the release of the Realme V5. However, since the device has gone through a Geekbench test, we expect to see Realme announce it soon.
The latest Realme phone that was launched is the Realme 6i which has many similarities to the Realme 6, including that smooth 90Hz refresh rate LCD panel. Realme will be launching the device tomorrow, i.e., on August 3, 2020.
