Realme is currently testing Android 11 on a bunch of smartphones from its portfolio. Most recently, it kick-started the Realme UI 2.0 Open Beta program for the Realme 7 Pro and is expected to do the same for a few other devices.
Like most other Android OEMs these days, Realme seeds two major OS updates for its smartphones. Therefore, just about every Realme device that came with Android 9 Pie pre-installed will get the Realme UI 2.0 skin based on Android 11.
This means that phones that came with Android 8.1 or earlier such as the Realme 2 Pro will not get the official update to Android 11. While this might be bad news for some, those who don’t mind tinkering with their devices need not worry.
This is all thanks to the hard work from the Android development community that has been pumping out Android 11-based custom ROMs left and right for a few months now. The folks over at XDA and PiunikaWeb have been keeping tabs on such custom ROMs.
And as the title suggests, you can now get to try out Android 11 on the Realme 2 Pro thanks to the Pixel Plus UI 3.1 custom ROM. The ROM offers a Pixel-like user experience and thus is perfect for those who prefer stock Android.
Furthermore, as per a fresh report, the ROM is quite snappy and offers decent battery life. So in case you’re interested in installing this Android 11 custom ROM on your Realme 2 Pro, click on the download link provided below.
