PUBG Mobile players in India are finally getting their hands on its replacement — Battlegrounds Mobile India — the game meant for players in India only. After many months of speculation around the game’s release date, Krafton has finally rolled out Battlegrounds Mobile India in Early Access.
Not everyone can download the game via the Google Play Store or App Store, however, Android users can get their hands on the Battlegrounds Mobile India APK and OBB files to sideload it on their devices.
Most Android users should be aware of the process to install APK files, however, if you aren’t familiar, there are dozens of guides that will pop up with a quick Google search. But you might also be wondering whether or not you would be able to use your PUBG Mobile Global Account to sign in on Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI.
Fortunately, you will be able to log in via Facebook, Google Play Games, or Twitter and connect/link your PUBG Mobile Global account to Battlegrounds Mobile India. Yes, that’s right. Once signed in, you will get all the items from PUBG Mobile, including items from your inventory, fragments, UC, and just about everything else.
It was earlier rumored that players would not be able to link their PUBG Mobile accounts to Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI since Krafton would get into trouble with the Indian authorities for partnering with Tencent Games, the developers of PUBG Mobile.
We’ll have to wait and see how things go. But for now, PUBG Mobile fans can finally get back to playing the game as Battlegrounds Mobile India without using any VPN service.
Of course, Battlegrounds Mobile India players will be unable to play with others from around the globe since the game only features an Indian server.
